Abstract

The psychological aspects of the development and use of textbooks for schools in wartime are considered. It is substantiated that the use of culturally sensitive and contextually relevant textbooks for schools in wartime has a deep psychological meaning in ensuring the implementation of targeted educational guidelines of society and supporting the mental health of participants in the educational space. It is emphasised that textbooks provide students and teachers with a sense of normalcy and stability, form constructive coping strategies, outline areas of activity in conditions of shock and uncertainty, helping to restore confidence in the education system and society as a whole.
