Abstract

The article highlights the features of building a modern textbook for primary school. Theoretical bases of creation of textbooks in the conditions of the New Ukrainian school are defined. The pedagogical, psychological and other literature of both domestic and foreign authors on the problem of textbook creation is analyzed. The functions of the textbook, its structure, the principles of forming the content of educational material are revealed; requirements to the educational and methodical apparatus of the textbook are given.
