Abstract
Monographic research is devoted to the study of psychological peculiarities of the subject of the use of Internet technologies and the possibilities of using these technologies in psychological practice. It is shown that practical psychology of virtual reality is a new, actual and high-tech branch of professional activity of a psychologist. Effective use of Internet technologies by a psychologist requires in-depth theoretical training and comprehensive awareness of contemporary conceptual models of computer-mediated communications. Virtual technologies teach and develop people. In connection with the general genetic-psychological approach characteristic of Ukrainian studies, it is better to study information, including Internet technology, using experimental-genetic (aptitude abilities) or genetic-modeling (development of personality) method developed by SD Maximenko It is revealed that Internet technologies in psychological practice can be considered in various aspects - from intimate-intra-individual to extensively-interpersonal. The subject of psychological practice by means of Internet technologies is a person: a psychologist, a practical psychologist or therapist who wants to improve their professional level, improve their competence, expand the possibilities of providing psychological assistance to the population. Internet technologies must take into account the realities of the modern virtual world - from social networks to multiplayer online games. It is proved that the use of Internet technologies by the person actualizes intrapsychological meanings and translates them into an interpersonal context. Definition of meanings in Internet communication is one of the ways of personal development.
