Abstract
The purpose of this publication is to highlight the innovative potential of the Ukrainian Electronic Encyclopedia of Education (UEEE), its role in the system of scientific and pedagogical communication, and the practical aspects of its implementation in the educational process. Unlike traditional (printed) encyclopedias, the UEE is based on several innovative principles: 1. Dynamism; 2. Openness; 3. Hypertextuality; 4. Peer review; 5. Identification. The UEEO is a significant innovative product that aligns with trends in the digitization of education and science. Among its innovative features are dynamism, openness, hypertextuality, peer review, and the assignment of persistent identifiers. It can be effectively used in various forms of educational activity: lectures, seminars, independent study, scientific research, and professional development. For scientific and pedagogical staff, the UEEO offers a new format for publishing the results of terminological work. Further development of the project should focus on disseminating information about the resource, increasing the number of articles (particularly through open calls for submissions), improving technical specifications, and integrating with other educational services. It is recommended that the UEEO be included in official lists of recommended sources for students at all levels of education and for academic and teaching staff.
