Abstract

The authors of the practical manual analyze the concept of military identity, the possibilities of its diagnosis and formation, provide diagnostic questionnaires, highlight the results of empirical research on military narratives and military identity, substantiate the technologies of military identity formation in the conditions of military everyday life. The current war is a way of forming a consolidated Ukrainian identity, and not a competition between different identities (Western, Eastern or Southern). The emphasis is on preventing violent processes of identity construction, and therefore focusing on the formation of military as a temporarily consolidating social identity, which will become an important factor in the survival of the nation in times of war. The manual is distinguished by an accessible presentation of the material, it will be useful to teachers, practical psychologists, teachers, social educators, volunteers and everyone who is interested in the issues of forming the military identity of Ukrainians in martial law.
