Abstract
The publication analyzes the main problems and barriers to the effective use of digital tools in the scientific and educational process, which can be divided into six categories: 1. institutional and organizational. 2. Technical. 3. Psychological and competence. 4. Availability and uneven distribution of resources. 5. Academic integrity and quality of digital content. 6. Challenges in the educational process. Ways to overcome these challenges are highlighted. The introduction of digital tools in scientific and educational activities is a complex, multifaceted, but necessary process that requires an integrated approach and consideration of many factors. The success of this process depends on the willingness to overcome challenges and solve problems that arise.
