Abstract

The publication analyzes the essence of the concept of digital research competence of a research and teaching staff member. Given the analysis of the concepts of digital and information and research competence, the digital research competence of a research and teaching staff member should be considered as his/her ability to confidently and effectively use digital technologies to design and conduct their own individual or collective research, as well as to publish, disseminate and implement their results and assess the impact of such results on the development of a particular scientific field. It is also important to note that digital research competence is an integral part of the digital competence of a modern research and teaching staff member, so research to clarify the components of such competence, methods of its formation and development using the latest digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, is a prospect for further research.
