Abstract

The publication discusses the functionality of the DOI CrossRef service for the development of digital competence of researchers and research and teaching staff. The use of the DOI CrossRef service is an important element in the development of the digital competence of researchers and pedagogical staff. This system not only simplifies access to information, but also improves the quality of scientific communication and citation, which, in turn, contributes to the development of science in general. Improving digital skills is a critical step in ensuring the effectiveness of research and education. The development of digital competence of researchers and academic staff is an important aspect of modern education and science. One of the tools that facilitates this process is the DOI service from CrossRef. The use of DOI is of direct importance for facilitating access to scientific publications, increasing the visibility of research and ensuring proper citation. The main components of the development of digital competence of researchers and pedagogical staff by integrating the DOI CrossRef system into their research activities not only contribute to improving research efficiency, but also help in the development of general digital literacy. It is important for domestic specialists to master the new functionalities of DOI CrossRef and understand their mechanism of operation so that authors and publishers can use them effectively. This will help to better integrate Ukrainian publications into the international scientific infrastructure and improve the conditions for working with scientific databases.
