Abstract
The study reveals the methodological principles of teaching staff using artificial intelligence (AI) services. An analysis of recent studies and publications revealed a lack of methodological developments on this topic for preschool educators. Therefore, the study focused on the specified target group. Given that there are few studies on this issue and practically no methodologies, the study considered only large language models (chatbots), particularly ChatGPT and Gemini. ChatGPT and Gemini were selected according to the following criteria: free of charge, accessibility, and significant spread in use. For the study, a game was chosen that is intended for infants, children of early age groups, or preschool children, and a request was formulated for each chatbot separately. The answers received are inconsistent with the formulated request, as they do not sufficiently consider children's age restrictions. At the same time, it was analyzed how many games each chatbot generated. Thus, the teacher can use a similar method to search for ideas for adapting existing didactic products and updating them. The following query included checking the adequacy of generating an image for a fairy tale and illustrative material for a lesson. The teacher must formulate and detail the query more carefully to create pictures using chatbots. Gemini does not always generate an image if the query is formulated incorrectly. The study did not aim to compare the working principles with two chatbots (ChatGPT and Gemini) or identify their advantages and disadvantages. The main ways of using chatbots in the professional work of a preschool teacher are presented: for developing notes, creating individual plans for children, taking into account their development, abilities, and interests, communicating with parents, providing them with a comprehensive program for the development of their children, creating reports, presentations for speaking at pedagogical and methodological events, for generating images (illustrations, didactic material, educational, emblems), for making small forms of folklore (riddles, poems, lyrics, pure words, and nursery rhymes), developing games and adapting existing ones, selecting tools (methods or forms of learning). Using AI services will save preschool teachers time, help create developments, and find new innovative ideas for further use.
