Abstract
The article contains a description of the main components of the methodology for using the OpenArt artificial intelligence service for the professional development of teachers. To prepare for a lesson, a teacher must select or create many images that would complement and diversify the material presented in the textbook. Searching for ready-made images takes a lot of time and does not always consider the topic of the lesson, the level of knowledge of students, and the teacher's needs. The OpenArt artificial intelligence (AI) service is described in scientific research in an overview without significantly detailing the tools. Existing research concerns the use of OpenArt in the visual arts. However, a significant lack of methodologies for using AI services in education exists. The proposed methodology for using the OpenArt artificial intelligence service for the professional development of teachers has a classic structure: target component (goal, target group), content component (content and practical skills), technological component (methods, forms, and means of teaching, requirements for hardware and software, control and evaluation) and a result component. Among the proposed teaching methods, illustrative and demonstration methods prevail. Also, one of the main methods is explanation. The method can be implemented in advanced training courses by teachers, tutors, speakers, and trainers who organize and conduct these courses. There are three ways to implement the method of using the OpenArt artificial intelligence service for the professional development of teachers: as a separate mini-course, as a separate module, or within one/two topics of advanced training courses. The developed method meets the following principles: scientificity, systematicity, clarity, and accessibility. Since the method of using the OpenArt artificial intelligence service for teachers' professional development did not consider the specifics of the subjects taught by teachers and the type of secondary education institutions, we can speak of its universality. The study examined the main settings of the OpenArt AI service toolkit: Prompt, Aspect Ratio, Width, Height, and Number of Images. The basics of working with OpenArt and the principle of formulating a query for generating new images are described.
