Abstract

The article describes the structure of the methodology for selecting artificial intelligence services based on the Aixploria catalog for the professional development of teachers, which includes a target component (selection goal, target group), a content component, a technological component (methods, forms and means of selection, requirements for user hardware), and a performance component. The structure of the methodology is classical and similar to the structure of the methodology for using a particular service in pedagogical sciences. In this case, the key components that should be paid attention to first are the target and technological components. The target component contains the selection goal and determines the selection's key characteristic. As an example, key characteristics can be types of activity (of a teacher, student, or parent), content produced by artificial intelligence services (text, graphic files, video, audio, presentations), or the specifics of the services (general or specialized). After determining the key characteristics, the criteria by which the selection will take place should be outlined. In each case, the requirements depend on the purpose of the selection and how exactly the teacher plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) services. The article emphasizes that before selecting AI services, the teacher should decide which classification these services will be taken as a basis because it directly depends on how the selection will be performed. Yes, you can choose one of the existing classifications in scientific research. Another way is to perform the classification yourself. The technological component reveals the specifics of this methodology because the methods and forms of selection are focused not only on the teacher's activities but also on all participants in the educational process: students and parents. Therefore, when selecting AI services, the motivation of students, their level of knowledge, and the zone of nearest development should be considered. Among the selection tools, specific ones are indicated and available as tools in the Aixploria catalog. For example, it is demonstrated how technically it is possible to search for AI services in the Aixploria catalog. In particular, the search for free AI services and by categories is presented. The main categories and subcategories of all available services in the Aixploria catalog are described in detail.
