Abstract
The current socio-cultural situation requires researchers to understand the overall strategy of digital transformation of education, knowledge of the regulatory framework that governs it, the specifics of the educational process in the digital environment, and the willingness to integrate digital technologies into their professional activities. Using the potential of the digital educational environment requires solving the problem of developing the digital competence of researchers. This article is devoted to analyzing and generalizing the domestic experience of using the means of open education and scientific information systems to solve this problem. We saw that understanding the «digital competence» concept is not unified. The normative basis for the content, levels of digital competence, and its development is laid down in the Digital Competence Framework for both citizens and teaching and research staff; standards of higher education in the field 01 Education/Pedagogy; professional standards of teachers and lecturers; A typical program of professional development for teachers on the development of digital competence. The groups of digital skills that researchers should possess and the directions of development of their digital competence are highlighted: collection, processing, transmission, storage, and production of information for use in professional activities; organization of information and communication interaction between participants of the educational process, including the use of distance platforms, virtual classrooms, e-mail, social networks; use of interactive technical means, media resources, electronic publications, and information resources for educational purposes; organizing collaboration using online tools such as shared visualization, shared documents, project, and task management; development of educational materials, tests, questionnaires, quizzes using online tools, monitoring of academic performance, etc.
