Digital technologies are now becoming a necessary component for achieving success and competitiveness. The scientific environment is undergoing changes because it is necessary to constantly use digital technologies for any information processes. To publish research results or communicate with colleagues, you need to have a certain digital awareness. Significant technological innovations are currently taking place in education. The introduction of digital technologies in higher education requires academic staff to have a high level of digital competencies for effective teaching and research. This, in turn, necessitates the training of qualified personnel who are able to use innovative digital technologies. The ability to work with current technologies is a key element of the competitiveness of researchers and academic staff. The development of the digital society is inevitable and makes certain changes both in the content of digital competencies of researchers and academic staff and in the process of training students at all levels.
