Abstract

It is stated that Ukraine’s obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership in 2022 will actualize the synchronization of the national education with the strategic priorities of European cooperation in the area of education and training. This is envisaged by the Copenhagen criteria based on certain conditions and terms (acquis). It is concluded that in this context, it is relevant to study such aspects as the formation and development of integration ideas in education within the EU; conceptual foundations of the European integration and integration in education; strategic guidelines for European integration in education and training in EU documents; innovative practices of integration in general secondary education in EU member states. These aspects are defined by the tasks of the research of the Department of Comparative Education of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2024-2025.
