Abstract
The features of the digital transformation of modern domestic postal operators have been characterized and it has been proven that these processes are the main factor in changing the structure and content of the professional competence of qualified workers, increasing the requirements for their personal and professional qualities. The contradiction between the declared competency-based approach to the professional training of postal operators and the organization of the educational process in professional (vocational and technical) education institutions was revealed, which is expressed in the predominance of theoretical knowledge over practical, unclear demarcation of the content of training in accordance with professional qualifications by classes; the orientation of educational disciplines to the assimilation of permanent knowledge by those acquiring education. It was found that the problem of establishing productive relations with employers in order to modernize the material and technical base of educational and production workshops and introduce a dual form of education requires further resolution; development of educational literature and scientific and methodological support. It is justified that the structure and content of the professional competence of future postal operators should include motivational, value, knowledge, activity components; the information technology component (information, digital and operational knowledge and skills) needs further improvement; it is appropriate to supplement the motivational-value component with a conative component (volitional mechanisms of self-regulation). The structure and content of the professional competence of future postal operators proposed and substantiated in this article are aimed at their transformation in accordance with the modern requirements of employers.
