Abstract
It has been established that European Union countries are actively integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into the educational process of general secondary education. The study encompasses an analysis of legislative acts and practices in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands that regulate the use of ICT in education. Issues related to adaptive testing systems, electronic journals, and platforms for monitoring and evaluating educational achievements are disclosed. It is highlighted that the application of ICT not only enhances the effectiveness of learning and student motivation but also contributes to the development of digital competencies for both learners and teachers. Attention is focused on the necessity for a comprehensive approach to the implementation of ICT, which includes technical, methodological, and legal support.
