Abstract
In connection with the rapid "aging" of educational literature, as well as the impossibility of studying geometry exclusively with teachers, more emphasis should be placed on modern technologies: web resources, video materials, and automation tools. If these technologies are convenient and understandable for students, it will be easier and more interesting to study this science. One of the important conditions for the effective improvement of the theory and practice of teaching geometry at school is the successful solution of the problem of the effective use of problems in teaching geometry. The applied focus of teaching geometry will be considered as one of the ways to improve the process of forming students' knowledge and skills in geometry at school. We see the prospects for the geometric education of students in modern secondary comprehensive schools in the improvement of the quality of educational material, namely: textbooks, teaching aids; the application of the latest technologies in lessons, the creation of databases, platforms with modern visibility, as well as from the training of a geometry teacher at a pedagogical university.
