Abstract

In the research process, it was established that the countries of the EU, the USA and Canada are focused on the modernization of education by developing strategic documents, outlining specific actions, funding research and innovation in the field of digitalization, as well as promoting digital technologies in education. State programs and initiatives implemented by the US and EU governments at the national level to achieve goals in the digital transformation of education are characterized. It was found that in Canada, at the fundamental level, innovative trends in the digitalization of general secondary education are determined by the Canadian tradition of decentralization in relation to educational policy and practice. It was also found that the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario are leaders in the innovation of digitalization of education due to their initiatives and progressive approach in solving educational issues.
