Abstract
The citation of scientific research depends on various factors. It is customary for scientists to cite the works of other authors to mark a certain contribution of the researcher, and to recognize the methods of description and confirmation of their data, and this, in turn, is evidence of the influence of these studies. At the same time, there are citations in which some or other studies are highlighted critically or with objection, which does not lead to the scientific influence of the work. Unfortunately, some scientists increase their citation index by self-citation. Because of this, it cannot be claimed that citation is a sign of the scientific influence of the work. Therefore, to carry out scientometrics analysis, there is a need to develop certain criteria and indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of pedagogical research.
