Abstract
Quest technology is relatively not new. At the end of the 20th century, in 1995, experts in the field of educational technologies, professors at the University of California in San Diego (USA) Bernie Dodge and Tom March formulated the definition of an educational quest: "quest" (translit. English quest - search) is search activity, which is the basis of experimental learning. The basis of the educational quest is a problematic task with elements of a role-playing game. Such an organized adventure also includes a psychological aspect: the development of self-confidence, the ability to communicate, cooperate, work in a team, constructively defend one's point of view, set and achieve goals, creatively approach the solution of various problems, flexibility in behavior. In other words, an educational quest is a pedagogical technology that implements educational tasks that differ from an educational problem by elements of the plot of a role-playing game, related to the search and finding of places, objects, people, information, for the solution of which they are used, first of all , information resources or resources of any field of science, production sphere, region
