Abstract

The use and distribution of personal identification data of students deserves special attention, as it creates a risk of revealing the identity of students to other parties. Users need to be provided with easy-to-use notification and control mechanisms to manage the boundary between leisure and learning. In addition, user activity while performing tasks must be thoroughly protected using a combination of strict access control, de-identification, obfuscation, encryption, and/or client-side personalization. The learning process on such devices should be structured in such a way that it does not disturb students and does not reveal information about them in an uncontrolled way.
