Abstract
The article presents the results of a survey of teachers in January – February 2022 regarding their digital competence in the conditions of the distance learning organization, which was conducted by the Institute of Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 54,254 respondents took part in the survey, including teachers, heads of secondary schools, and other pedagogical workers. Most respondents are primary school teachers, teachers of foreign languages, Ukrainian and literature, mathematicians and school administrators. The used survey tools are based on the international document «Digital Competence Framework for Citizens: Eight Levels of Mastery with Examples of Use» (DigComp2.1: Digital Competence Framework for Citizens), which defines the standards of digital competence and serves as a reference for the countries of the European Union. The definition of the concept of «digital competence» is given. The results of an online survey on the level of digital competence in five areas were analyzed: information and digital literacy, communication and cooperation, the creation of digital content, security, problem solving. Summarized data on the results of self-assessment by pedagogical workers of their digital competence at three levels: basic user, independent user, professional users are presented. The analysis and interpretation of quantitative data was carried out using the methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics, the results are presented in the form of diagrams and their interpretations, arranged according to the relevant thematic blocks.
