Abstract

The article presents the author's vision of development prospects and ways to modernize and improve the content of military education. The problem of formation of digital competence of officers of military management, and also a problem of definition of ways of effective use of information and communication technologies in educational process of establishments of higher military education, system of advanced training is covered. The necessity of training military specialists for professional activity with the use of modern digital technologies is substantiated. The main directions of formation and development of digital competence of military administration officers are determined, namely: information literacy, communication and cooperation, creation of digital content, security and protection of personal data. It is emphasized that increasing attention to these components is a requirement of modernity, a conscious need of military professionals, can significantly affect their professional development throughout their careers. The concept of "professional competence of military management officers" is defined as a complex, integrated, professional education of officers of the operational management, which is manifested in their training, ability and willingness to mobilize and apply knowledge, skills, military professional experience and professionally important qualities in the process their job responsibilities in combat and daily activities. The issues of formation of readiness for possession of STEM-technologies by officers and their use in professional activity are considered. The state and features of development of modern STEM-approaches in the educational process of other countries are analyzed: USA, Australia, China, Great Britain, Israel, Korea and Singapore. According to the authors, the use of STEM technologies will contribute to their personal and professional development and career growth during the practical training of military officers. The results of the survey of students of advanced training courses at the National Defenсe University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi are highlighted. In particular, the attitude and needs of military administration officers for training and professional development were clarified. The idea of a long-term plan for the development of military education, implemented in teaching and research activities, was proposed. Also developed methods of forming the digital competence of military officers, to ensure their continuous professional development.
