Abstract
The analysis’s results of changes in methods of psychological influence on the population of Ukraine and the role of education in counteracting threats in the digital learning environment are considered. Outcomes of the research: cognitive war is aimed at capturing the human capital of the country, and it differs from the information and psychological operations by purpose, strategy, objects (aimed not so much at the population as a whole, but at forming the social elite of the country) and means of action; young person is the most vulnerable to cognitive weapons because of an unformed cognitive model of the world around him/her; the formation of critical thinking and exploratory activity is a component of effective education and counteraction to cognitive threats.
