Abstract
The report notes the state of implementation of the STEAM approach in general education institutions of Ukraine and foreign countries. The main problems of using the STEAM approach in schools are identified, namely: providing material and technical support for STEAM-education; training of teachers in their development of information and communication competence and organization and implementation of STEM-projects, in particular in cooperation with specialists in the fields of STEM; creation of STEM-oriented environment with the use of ICT and taking into account the needs and abilities of students; creation of STEM-centers and STEM-laboratories in educational institutions. It is suggested that to solve these problems it is important to take such measures as, for example, the opening of Centers for technical and information and communication support of STEM-education in health care, which will solve the problem of involving students in engineering and robotics, attracting business companies. may be appropriate for the implementation of subject-oriented youth education projects.
