Abstract
The authors explore critical thinking as an effective factor in cognition and practical development of the socio-cultural and natural world. The monograph emphasizes the role of thinking in defining strategies for development of important spheres of modern society — science, culture and education. The role of productive thinking in realizing the creative potential of a person in response to the challenges of modern civilization is shown. The ways of overcoming contradictions in the development of the modern personality in the dimensions of civilization modernity are outlined. The monograph is designed for a wide range of readers — representatives of social and humanitarian sciences, education, as well as young scientists, graduate students and for all who are interested in the problems of culture of human thinking in a society of knowledge.
