Abstract
The relocation is related to intense stress, trauma and identity crisis, causing regression and actualization of primitive mechanisms of psychological defense. The features of the psychotherapeutic relationships with internally displaced people were studied using the concept of identification understood in two ways: as a way to achieve interpersonal understanding and as a way to recover identity. There was found to be a correlation between psycho-emotional attitudes to the psychotherapist with adaptation of a internally displaced person. This correlation is thought to be due to the influence of several ways of identification.
