Abstract
The analysis of the dissertations provides the objective indexes of general level of various science fields and its separate disciplines, and also the formation of quantity and quality of scientific personnel in science and education, as well as the scale, rate and trends. The dissertation research shows the scientific maturity of the scientist, it is a proven demonstrating form of the research opinion and characterizes the science development. This article has made a comparative analysis of dissertation works of the S. Goncharenkoʼs scientific school representatives and systematized them by the following criteria: research directions, scientific level, years of defence, content of research subject. The article reviews and summarizes the theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concepts of «criteria» and «systematization». A critical and comparative analysis of dissertation works of the S. Goncharenkoʼs scientific school representatives is conducted. There has been analyzed the number of dissertations by their defence years in order to investigate the dynamics of writing theses under the supervision of S. Goncharenko. The dissertations were divided by the directions of researches and scientific level. The abstracts of dissertations and the contents of their subjects were considered. The actual issues of the dissertation works were distinguished by leading directions. The attention is focused on the diversity of the scientistsʼ research themes as a leading feature of the Academician Semеn Goncharenkoʼs scientific school. There was determined that in the Academician S. Goncharenkoʼs scientific school from 1970 till 2010 86 theses were defended by 4 research directions such as: «Theory and History of Education», «Theory and Methods of Professional Education», «Methods of Teaching Physics» and «Theory of Teaching». The analysis of the dissertation researches by the time criterion showed that the most productive periods were in 1995 and 1997, when 10 and 9 theses were defended respectively. There was determined that in their works the scholars mostly investigated as the subject the theoretical, methodological and methodical basis of: organization of teaching, studentsʼ knowledge integration, didactic differentiation, didactic training of future engineer-teachers. There were revealed the dissertation researches themes of the S. Goncharenkoʼs scientific school scholars on the base of an analysis of the leading directions: the secondary and higher education didactics issues; peculiarities of the use of visual aids in teaching; the issue of managerial activities in secondary educational institutions; the problem of cognitive activity formation; the peculiarities of pedagogical staff professional training.
