Abstract
The vast majority of universities Ukraine III-IV level of accreditation, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, trains specialists in a particular direction engineering. According to UNESCO for 2005-2006. Ukraine ranks fifth in the world in the number of engineering students, second only to countries such as United States, South Korea, Japan and Iran (in comparative tables were missing information on the number of students Russian Federation). Under these statistical studies in Ukraine is preparing to double the qualified engineers than countries such as Germany, Spain and Italy, and almost three times higher than in Poland, France and the UK. This indicates a significant scientific and technical potential of our country and its ability to provide global demand for qualified engineering professionals. But in order to ensure the competitiveness of graduates of technical universities in Ukraine at the international level, you need to pay special attention to the development of professional mobility, language, communication competencies and advanced competencies in the field of ICT.
