Abstract

The thesis focuses on the approaches to subject specialization and the minimum qualification level of foreign language teachers in primary and secondary schools in European countries. It is noted that teachers who teach foreign languages may have different subject specializations. They can be qualified to teach all (or almost all) subjects in the curriculum or specialize in teaching a limited number of subjects.
