Abstract

The methodical manual represents a model of multilingual education for institutions of general secondary education with the teaching of the languages of indigenous peoples and national minorities, reveals the content of competencies that are formed in the process of implementing the proposed model. It characterizes methods and techniques aimed at the formation of multilingual competence of students in the context of the proposed model: comparative, receptive methods, CLIL technique, tandem method, methods of switching language codes, scaffolding; the results of the implementation of the model, which were stated by the participants of the experimental study, were determined, the risks that may arise in the process of implementing the model, and the ways to overcome them were analyzed. The methodological manual is intended for scientists, representatives of the administration of general secondary education institutions, teachers, students of pedagogical institutions of higher education, and everyone who is interested in the problem of multilingual education and participates in its implementation in Ukrainian general secondary education institutions.
