Abstract
Since the beginning of the war, psychologists have increasingly actively discussed the concept of stress, stress tolerance, stress resistance, traumatization of the most vulnerable category of Ukrainians - children, who are currently experiencing the war in Ukraine together with the adult population. The concepts mentioned above largely determine whether a child will experience distress in response to certain events, or whether his mental state is characterized by endurance and stability. At present, stress is and has been a very serious problem, practically throughout the life of an individual, but it worsened precisely under the conditions of war, when no one from the adult environment was ready for it, accordingly, children too. Therefore, the purpose of our publication will be an overview of the main aspects of the essence of stress, stress resistance of a child with special educational needs (hereinafter children with special educational needs), the possibility of adaptation to such a phenomenon and the role of psychological support of a child with special educational needs of the adult generation, in particular, the closest ones - parents, relatives.
