Abstract
The state of the national education system in connection with Russia's large-scale aggression is analyzed. Emphasis is placed on educational losses, which are reflected not only in the country's economy, but also in the future of modern students - the loss of one third of effective schooling for students during the COVID19 pandemic reduced GDP by an average of 1.5% for the rest of the century. According to World Bank experts, educational losses in Ukraine due to martial law could amount to more than one year. And only this factor can reduce the GDP of our country by more than 4.5%, and for Ukrainian schoolchildren can be more than 10% of their future income / earnings. The mission of university science is considered and the dangerous situation for it during the martial law and in the postwar period is analyzed. The ways of professional and scientific development of scientific and pedagogical workers are singled out.
