Abstract

The special course presents contemporary approaches to the development of the professional digital competence of vocational education teachers in the context of the digital transformation of education. It analyses the theoretical foundations of the development of teaching staff’s professional digital competence, current trends in the digitalisation of vocational education, and the role of the Smart EcoSystem digital ecosystem as an innovative environment for professional development. The structure of teachers’ professional digital competence is characterised, along with contemporary approaches to designing an individual professional development trajectory and using digital educational resources, artificial intelligence services, digital portfolios, and SMART complexes in the professional activities of teaching staff at vocational education institutions. The special course examines methodological approaches to organising learning between formal professional development courses, developing digital culture, self-assessing professional digital competence, and using the capabilities of the Smart EcoSystem digital ecosystem to ensure the continuous professional development of teaching staff. The special course is intended for teachers of vocational-theoretical training, vocational training instructors, methodologists, teaching staff of vocational education institutions, specialists in the professional development system, postgraduate students, doctoral students, and researchers studying the digital transformation of vocational education and the development of teaching staff’s professional digital competence.
