Abstract

The monograph is devoted to the theoretical and methodological foundations of using open science systems for the professional development of pedagogical and academic staff. The conceptual foundations for using open science systems as an educational and research environment for continuous professional development are substantiated; the components, indicators, and levels of open science competence of pedagogical and academic staff are clarified. A methodological system for using open science systems for the professional development of pedagogical and academic staff and its structural-functional model have been developed. A basic methodology for the use of open science tools by pedagogical and academic staff and a specialised methodology for academic staff in the field of peer review are presented, along with recommendations for using open science systems for the professional development of pedagogical and academic staff. The organisation, implementation, and results of the pedagogical experiment and the expert evaluation of the developed methodological system are described. The monograph is intended for pedagogical, academic, and research staff, postgraduate and doctoral students, employees of general secondary and higher education institutions, research institutions, research libraries, professional development centres, organisers of continuing professional development, developers of educational programmes and institutional policies, as well as all professionals interested in implementing the principles and practices of open science and in the responsible use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in educational, research, and professional development activities.
