Abstract
The safety of using digital artificial intelligence tools in school education is not an isolated technical issue—it is an integral part of broader reforms aimed at ensuring the safety and sustainability of school education. A fragmented approach to AI safety, detached from the school’s systemic safety framework, leads to the accumulation of structural risks that, over time, can undermine not only the digital but also the overall safety potential of the educational institution. Enhancing teachers’ digital competence, particularly in terms of “AI safety literacy,” is a prerequisite for the successful implementation of both objectives—the technological modernization of education and the strengthening of its resilience and safety. Further research should focus on developing specific indicators and tools to measure the level of integration of AI security into school security systems.
