Abstract

The conceptual foundations for the development of a unified information space of open education are investigated. Specifically, the necessity of building a unified information space of open education as a strategic response to modern challenges is substantiated; the core ideas and basic principles of open education are defined and systematized; and key areas of scientific research regarding the development of open education are identified, namely: pedagogical, technological, social, legal, and psychological.
