Abstract

Based on a theoretical analysis of scientific sources and the synthesis of European experience, it is substantiated that education for sustainable development serves as a methodological foundation for updating vocational and practical training, as it ensures the consistency, interdisciplinarity, and value orientation of the educational process. It is proven that vocational and practical training is a key mechanism for implementing the principles of sustainable development within the vocational education system. The directions for modernizing vocational and practical training have been identified, including competency-based, systemic, activity-based, and integrative approaches. These directions take into account the digitalization of the educational process, the implementation of building information modelling technologies, the development of dual education, and the strengthening of partnerships with employers.
