Abstract

This article analyses the role of education as the foundation for economic growth and social justice in the EU. It examines the concept of the European Education Area and the key targets for 2030: achieving a 45% rate of higher education attainment among young people (aged 25–34) and increasing the number of ICT professionals to 20 million.
