Abstract
Relevance. In the current context of digital transformation in education, the development of digital competence among vocational-theoretical training instructors has become particularly significant, especially within vocational (vocational-technical) education institutions. High-quality training of skilled specialists is impossible without the implementation of innovative digital solutions that integrate learning content, interaction tools, reflection mechanisms, and assessment systems. In this regard, the Smart EcoSystem for Students digital platform serves as a tool for integrating educational processes within a unified digital environment that meets the demands of the new digital reality. The relevance of the article is also driven by the need to conceptualize and clarify the scientific understanding of the essence and structure of the term "professional competence," and to justify it as a key condition for the effective performance of instructors responsible for preparing skilled workers in the service sector, in line with the challenges of the labor market and the digitalization of education. The aim of the article is to explore the potential of the Smart EcoSystem for Students digital platform for developing the digital competence of vocational-theoretical instructors and to substantiate the methodological principles of its application in the educational process of vocational institutions. Methods: The research employed systemic analysis, pedagogical observation, empirical data generalization, surveys, and methodological modeling of digital interaction based on the platform’s functionality. Results: It was found that the use of the Smart EcoSystem for Students platform provides personalized support for instructors in developing digital competence, enhances pedagogical interaction, enables learning analytics, and facilitates the implementation of adaptive educational pathways. Practical cases of the platform’s use were analyzed in the context of improving the efficiency of the educational process. Conclusions: The study identifies the main directions for the application of the Smart EcoSystem for Students platform in the digital transformation of vocational education; substantiates its potential for developing the digital competence of vocational-theoretical instructors; and highlights the role of the integrated digital environment in improving the quality of the educational process, considering the individual learning needs of students and the current demands of the labor market.
