Abstract

This edition presents the complete body of Sofia Rusova's publications in the pages of the magazine ‘Vilna ukrainska shkola’ (1917–1920) — the leading pedagogical journal of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917– 1921. The book includes materials reflecting her pedagogical views, participation in the professional movement of Ukrainian teachers, and activities in the All-Ukrainian Teachers' Union. The publications are presented according to genre and function, which allows readers to trace various aspects of the educator's intellectual, journalistic, and organisational work. Of particular value are the contextual sections: leading editorial articles and materials from the publishing history of the journal, which present it as a phenomenon of Ukrainian pedagogical periodicals of the early 20th century. The publication is intended for scholars, researchers of educational history, educators, students, and anyone interested in the legacy of S. Rusova and the development of Ukrainian pedagogical thought.
