Abstract
The article presents a systematic analysis of modern foreign and domestic psychocorrectional technologies used in the educational and rehabilitation environment to optimize the mental development, self-expression and socialization of children with special educational needs. The theoretical principles and practical experience of implementing sensory, neuropsychological, communicative, art therapeutic and game techniques in the activities of the Educational and Social Cultural Center of the Municipal Institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Center of St. Nicholas” are revealed. The authors substantiate the need to use special psychocorrectional technologies and techniques for children with severe disorders of psychophysical development, aimed at stimulating cognitive processes, activating prognostic functions, developing sensory integration and motor skills, reducing anxiety, forming confidence in one’s own abilities, as well as developing social interaction skills, alternative and additional communication. Modern successful practices of teaching students with SEN are described, which involve the use of individual and differentiated approaches during correctional and developmental classes. Generalized experience and methodological recommendations are presented on the organization of a special correctional and developmental educational environment, the use of special methods and techniques for teaching children with severe disorders of psychophysical development. Based on the conducted experimental study, the feasibility of a comprehensive psychological and pedagogical approach as a condition for harmonious development, the formation of vital skills and successful social integration of children with SEN is proven. Prospects for further research are outlined, which consist in: developing and testing new psychocorrectional programs that take into account the individual characteristics of children with various types of developmental disorders; improving methodological support for teachers and parents aimed at the effective use of innovative technologies in the educational environment; conducting research to assess the stability of the results obtained and their impact on the further socialization of children; integration of psychocorrectional technologies into interdisciplinary programs combining pedagogy, psychology, medicine and social work; dissemination of successful practices in inclusive and special education institutions, as well as in public initiatives aimed at supporting, educating and developing children with special needs.
