Abstract

The article addresses the issue of preparing designers for entrepreneurial activity and provides an analysis of scientific literature and pedagogical theory. It is stated that the world is experiencing a significant development of creative industries, which are based on the use of intellectual property and possess the potential to generate ideas through craftsmanship, talent, and individual creativity. Creative sectors make entrepreneurship an attractive area for investment at both private and governmental levels. It is considered that the main barriers to transforming an entrepreneurial idea into its implementation are: the lack of motivation and skills among young people to independently acquire knowledge; a low level of youth employment in the labor market in accordance with their acquired education; slow rates of entrepreneurial development among young people; insufficient utilization of the innovative potential of youth; and inadequate orientation of young people towards acquiring additional knowledge, abilities, and professional skills outside the formal education system. It is proven that developed entrepreneurial competence will become an objective necessity and a reality, which will, on the one hand, improve the material situation of future designers, and on the other hand, provide strong social support for the younger generation in the future.
