Abstract
The article provides an analytical review of a series of international scientific and practical conferences “Gifted Children Are the Treasure of the Nation!” held during 2020–2025. The dynamics of thematic areas and the content of the presented papers are examined in the context of major societal challenges, including the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, as well as the impact of technological innovations on the development of educational work with gifted children, such as digitalization, the advancement of STEM/STEAM education, and the growing use of artificial intelligence. Changes in the structure of conference programs are analyzed. The geographical distribution of participants is explored, and the role of international cooperation is identified. Prospects for further development at the level of state educational policy are substantiated. A vivid platform for studying such integration has been the series of online conferences “Gifted Children Are the Treasure of the Nation!”, initiated by the Institute of the Gifted Child of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and conducted in close cooperation with the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the National Center “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, and the UNESCO Chair on Science Education of the Ukrainian State University named after Mykhailo Drahomanov. This series of events has become not only a meeting place for researchers and educational practitioners to discuss key issues of identification, assessment, development, pedagogical and psychological support of gifted individuals, but also a genuine professional platform for researching the development of educational policy on giftedness. It reflects changes in pedagogical objectives in accordance with contemporary challenges and the socio-psychological priorities of the country.
