Abstract
The article presents the conceptual foundations for developing the educational branches of the New Ukrainian School at the level of upper secondary education. It addresses challenges arising from war, migration, digital transformation, and global socio-economic shifts that directly affect the quality of education. The analysis covers the language and literature, mathematics, natural sciences, technology, informatics, social and health education, civic and historical studies, arts, and physical educational branches. For each of them, systemic problems related to overloaded curricula, lack of methodological support, use of outdated teaching practices, inequality of resources, shortage of teaching staff, and the need for integration with a digital and inclusive educational environment have been identified. The article highlights strategies to overcome these barriers: updating curricula to achieve a balance between academic thoroughness and applied practicality; implementation of a competency-based, project-oriented and interdisciplinary approach; development of digital infrastructure and open resources; fostering teacher professional growth through mentoring, flexible training, and innovative methodologies. Special attention is given to assessment systems, which should verify not only theoretical knowledge but also communicative, critical, creative, and applied skills. The article also emphasizes the importance of supporting internally displaced students and those studying abroad while preserving national linguistic and cultural identity. Overall, the conceptual framework demonstrates that each educational branch significantly contributes to the holistic formation of resilient, innovative, and socially responsible citizens. The combination of national traditions with openness to global processes defines the Ukrainian education as a driver of personal growth and sustainable social progress.
