Abstract

The article analyzes the strategic approaches of Iceland and Belgium to reforming vocational education (VET) in the context of European integration and global challenges. It investigates Iceland’s innovative paradigm, which integrates innovation, risk cultivation, and STEM competencies, ensuring the systemic adaptability of VET through European harmonization. In contrast, the structural transformation of Belgian VET is highlighted, aimed at overcoming the skills deficit by strengthening Work-Based Learning and implementing green/digital strategies.
