Abstract
The paper examines the propaedeutics of profile-oriented informatics education in gymnasium as an important factor in shaping the conscious professional choice of students in Grades 8–9. The possibilities of using project-based technologies in the process of educational profiling are analyzed, along with their impact on motivation, the development of key competencies, and students’ professional self-determination. The author’s methodology for implementing project-based learning in the informatics curriculum, the results of an initial student survey, and the prospects for evaluating the effectiveness of the proposed approach are described. The expediency of integrating project-based technologies into school education is emphasized in the context of the New Ukrainian School reform.
