Abstract

The Informatics curriculum for Grade 8 has been developed on the basis of the model curriculum “Informatics. Grades 7–9” for general secondary education institutions (authors: I. O. Zavadskyi, O. V. Korshunova, I. A. Tverdokhlib) and is a logical continuation of the content of curricula for the cycle of basic subject learning in lower secondary education. The model curriculum by I. O. Zavadskyi, O. V. Korshunova, and I. A. Tverdokhlib for Grades 7–9 provides for the study of Informatics along three content strands: “Working in existing and creating one’s own digital environments,” “Modeling and data structures,” and “Algorithms and programs.” In each grade, it is proposed to study four topics distributed across these three strands.
