Abstract

The value potential of the current model curricula of Ukrainian literature for grades 5–9, textbooks for grades 5–7 of the New Ukrainian School regarding the education of patriotism, national consciousness, and active civic position of students through the means of the artistic word has been determined. The methodological aspect of the topic of the struggle of the Ukrainian people against the Russian invaders has been revealed.
