Abstract

In terms of information society formation the problem of training of a teacher who focuses on information flows, self learning, finds the necessary resources and acquires new knowledge, improving the professional competence necessary to address specific problems, is particularly actual. Analysis of ICT use in the educational process shows that formation of readiness of teachers to involvement of ICT into their professional activities is now a priority. A part of professional competence of a teacher is ability to examine and analyze electronic editions and tools, clarify their place in the learning process in relation to the goals of education. Thus teachers should possess skills to determine and assess quality of electronic educational resources, their content, technical performance, to evaluate critically the possibilities of their selection and use at school and in individual work of students at home. Ability to determine adequately the didactic benefits of advanced ICT tools and to be quickly adapted to changes in development of educational technology, and also successfully use them and get a positive result (and be able to evaluate this result) is now a necessary skill.
